Common Misconceptions on Communicative Language Teaching in China

Abstract
Communicative Language Teaching(CLT) has set a trend since it was brought in China. Leading by education authorities and English teachers in tier-one cities, CLT quickly come into notice. However, many teachers found it not as effective as they thought then they started to question its theoretic basis and its value. In fact, some queries make little sence because English teachers do not truely understand the essence of CLT. This article gives a brief introduction of CLT and discusses some common misconceptions on it in China.
