This study aimed to analyze the guidelines of the national system of sport and leisure in Brazil as a public policy aimed at realization of programs and projects. As methodological procedure, this is an exploratory qualitative study. Thus, it was found que the National Sport Policy has the prerogative to emphasis on inclusion and appreciation of the local cultures.
