Synthesis, Spectral and Antimicrobal Studies of Demi-macrocycles of Ligands N2O2 with Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) Ions

Macrocyclic complexes of the type [M (C14H30N2O2) (ClO4)2], where, M = Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) ions were synthesized by the condensation reactions. The complexes were characterized with the aid of elemental analysis, conductance, magnetic susceptibility measurements and spectroscopic methods. The complexes were tested for their vitro antibacterial activity. The minimum inhibitory concentration shown by these complexes were compared with standard drugs.
