Abstract

The aim of this study was to examine the physico-chemical properties and heavy metals in soil of Rewa District. Rewa is a town state of Madhya Pradesh, India. Rewa lies between 24° 18′ and 25° 12′ north latitudes and 81° 2′ and 82° 18′. Various soil quality parameters were analyzed by using standard procedures. The readings were taken with the help of Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS).Iron and Zinc of all the soil samples were below the recommended level (Iron 380 mg/kg and Zinc 200 mg/kg) prescribed by SQGL value.
